Incredible line-up right now on BBC2 for #LiveAid #liveaidat40. Great Andy Kershaw interview. The whole thing is also beautifully shot. Really nice!.

Totally agree. He was equally suave and wonderful in real-life when I met him. His radio shows felt effortless - the mark of a genuinely great broadcaster. I'm very sad that he has left us.

OK so the ITMA was erased, but it was recorded in December 1955! It gives me real hope that the missing "Hancock's Half Hour" episodes are out there when I come across something like this. but hopefully not recorded over like the ITMA on this reel to reel tape!

If you're at #Glastonbury2025 today, you can witness history at 8:00 in the Acoustic Tent. The Searchers - a legendary 1960s band - play their final show after well over 60 years of touring. Would love the BBC to film it for posterity! I shall be there. but sadly only in spirit.

This Charles Parker production about Narrow Boats (last heard in 1962!) was lost for many years. It's now "known", but this is another copy. Once again I feel thankful for these brilliant, BRILLIANT people who recorded things off radio years ago! #RadioBallad #lostradio

I know what I'm doing with audio, but I'm looking for some advice on digitisation of 8mm cine films and of glass slides. With cine film, is 1080p and 16 fps good enough, or is 4K worth the (significant) extra cost? .Thanks in advance for any help! #cinefilm #8mm #digitisation
