Today our first-year students visited Ofcom offices in London to hear how they (as the regulator for online safety), have a responsibility to make sure social media sites and other regulated online services have appropriate systems and processes in place to protect their users.

Jessica Mcclearn and co-authors Rikke Berg Jensen & Reem Talhouk's paper has been accepted for CSCW 2024. This can be viewed as a pre-publication here https://t.co/tQgzX8uifL The paper looks at the work in Lebanon to establish security in response to failing infrastructures.
