Just like a lot of other people, I dusted off my Mastodon account, just in case. I've tried to follow as many people I could from my Twitter follows, because y'all gave me a pretty decent timeline. Send me your url if I'm not following you there yet. https://t.co/eOvptNrV37

A spam mail just offered me an ATM card with $1.5. I like that spam got more humble

It's great to see @SpacebuzzO still going strong, virtually launching kids into orbit, with very similar reactions regardless of where it goes. It's also cool to catch some more glimpses of the educational program (I mainly know what I worked on)

@Enichan Look, we just need to learn to live with the ravenous tiger that lives in the office! Sure, if we closed down the office properly for a month or so it'd starve, but it only kills one person a week, most of the rest of the people who are attacked by it survive!

I've been tracking anti-transgender legislation for 3 years. I often get asked in DMs, "I live in x state, should I flee/transition/come out?" So I've decided to make a risk assessment for future anti-trans legislation. Here is a map, with an explainer thread. 🧵

Software re-usability reminds me of something in the real world: multi-tools. Sure it's great to have something that can be used in many different situations, but there are trade-offs. If you have a dedicated screwdriver, it's bound to be more comfortable.

Pro-lifers don't like complexity. At 17 weeks my placenta detached and he was much too small. I thought I felt my baby's frantic attempts to breathe. My OBGYN advised me to terminate the pregnancy, there wasn't much time. But I couldn't.

It's also nauseating because of the incredibly narrow field of view. Very funny though when I'm not nauseous.

Incidentally... This LEGO games also one of the most violent games I've played in a while. The things you're supposed to do in the course of this game... Good thing it's all plastic.

The great thing about mumble mode in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, is that it turns every character into chopper. @dave_filoni, can we get a mumble mode for Star Wars Rebels?

VR resolution is somehow limited to something super low. PhysX is replaced by Chaos, which sleeps components way too fast without waking them back up. Reverting to previous commit now requires external tools. Cascade is replaced by Niagara, which forgets how to orbit That's day 1

I'll probably wait with recompiling my project based on 4.27 at the end of the day, because that's bound to take another 4 hours.

When Unreal says UE5 is production ready, they mean it's fine for Fortnite. If you're not building that, or Zeus forbid — something in VR, good luck.
