We're piloting biometric payment fobs 😮
It's the first time in the UK that contactless payments over £30 will be possible without a bank card or mobile phone. And they're very secure - if you lose it, no one else can use it.
We would like to apologise to customers who experienced issues logging into their online and mobile banking accounts this morning, this issue has now been resolved.
We’re aware of some issues on our Digital and Mobile Banking services and are working hard to fix them. Telephone Banking and ATMs are available. Sorry and thanks for your patience.
✨Get your cash in style today at Pride Edinburgh ✨
Look out for our five special ATMs on Princes St and Nicolson St. Which one's your favourite?

,

&
@MasterCardUK
plus 200 customers testing cards that allow contactless payments over the £30 limit using fingerprint authentication instead of Chip & PIN.
Our main Edinburgh building lit up in recognition of the NHS and all key workers 💙
Thank you for everything you're doing to look after us and keep the country going.

The limit for contactless card payments has gone up from £30 to £45.
The change is being applied gradually in shops so make sure you double check before you pay.
You could also set up contactless payment on your mobile, which lets you pay over the usual limit in many stores.
We’re excited to reveal the design of our new £20 polymer note, featuring philanthropist & entrepreneur Kate Cranston. The design complements the £5 & £10 polymer notes by further expanding our Fabric of Nature series.
Take a closer look at some of the design elements.

⚠️ Scam alert
People are losing access to their Instagram accounts after falling victim to fake account verification emails.
#TakeFive
to double check that an email is genuine and never give away personal information to an organisation that you don’t trust.
A common tactic used by fraudsters is to say there’s a problem with your account & you need to move money to a ‘safe’ account. This safe account belongs to the fraudster. A genuine bank would never ask you to do this.
#TakeFive
to think about what’s being asked of you.
If you're a Royal Bank credit card customer, we won't charge a late fee for any credit card payments due from today until 30th June 2020.
