Remember Peter Lynch. He died alone after the British state took everything he had for using words in a forbidden order.

Lucy Connolly should have her liberty restored as a matter of priority, with her conviction quashed.

This is good. What he said should not be illegal. We should revisit the cases where people have been imprisoned for using words or sentences that fall even further below this bar. Britain is done for if it does not have liberty of speech.

Though tbh, who cares. This is confronting a raving madman claiming to be Napoléon by asking him about the details of the siege of Toulon, rather than saying "fuck off you nutter".

I'm happy to be corrected, but Stanford School of Medicine doesn't appear to offer a straight undergraduate programme. But I would question why she was able to achieve Stanford acceptance level scores on an SAT at 16, but flunk A Levels at 18.

Most people are familiar with the Kemi story that racist British teachers dissuaded her from applying to Oxbridge (A-Level results: BBD). Her Stanford University lore is perhaps even more incredible though

Well done to everyone getting results today. If you’re not celebrating right now, don’t lose heart. Remember, your results don’t decide your future, you do. This is just one step on a much bigger journey. What matters most next? Your attitude, your choices, your determination.

It's A Level results day today. The key thing to focus on is that these are the most important academic exam results you will ever receive, and if you have fucked them up it will have profound effects on the rest of your life.

I'd caveat that by saying it's a mark of decline that so many people seem to have made it to adulthood in Britain without knowing what a rod licence is. That's quite sad, tbh.

Obviously this is also not a "got your loisense for that fishing rod mate?" moment for Americans - they need one too. It's just a sensible way of managing fish stocks outside of total private ownership of rivers, streams, and lakes.

This isn't decline issue, calm down. Rod licences are fine and most countries have them (or fishing licences) - we've had them in Britain for coarse fishing since at least the 1870s. The money goes back into stocking and environmental management and the cost is negligible.

🚨 NEW: Foreign Secretary David Lammy broke the law while fishing with JD Vance as he doesn’t own a rod licence . He’s “dobbed himself” into the environment watchdog and may receive a fine . [@JackElsom].

Women shouldn’t have to tolerate foreign sex pests and perverts from cultures that treat women like property to use and abuse. Let’s remove those peasants from our country. All of them.

This is a shocking, but important read. Even for people very familiar with the area, there are plenty of new horrors in there (I wasn't until now aware of the phenomenon of daytripping to the coast to commit these attacks, for example).

Bournemouth has become one of the most criminal places in Britain, with a spate of high-profile rapes and murders, and anti-social behaviour worse than anywhere in Birmingham or Liverpool. Our correspondent explores a microcosm of national decline:.

After years and years of mocking them, the Conservatives are the Lib Dems now. But the Lib Dems have always known that you can set the agenda even without parliamentary numbers, knowing the advantage of not having to be accountable for the messiness of implementation.

Is a radical overhaul of the NHS politically achievable? On one hand, it's probably more so than in decades. But on the other, political mathematics are a Reform headache. Instead, Kemi Badenoch should seize a rare opportunity to dominate the agenda by proposing wholesale change.

The Conservatives will not win the next election - a tough pill to swallow for Kemi, but it also means getting to grips with her role in politics. Radical healthcare proposals are a chance to lead the agenda rather than be reactive. Me for @TheCriticMag

The five-day doctors’ strike may have ended in England, but it is clear that this is not the end of the matter. It was the 12th walkout so far during this current dispute over pay.
