Signals: ☑️.Point and mode sources: ☑️.Rasterization with sub-pixel smoothing: ☑️. I am pretty sick though and have other duties so I'll continue on the weekend. 🧟‍♂️. It's quite fun and a nice learning experience to work on a larger project like this where there are so many

All that circuitry for a tiny inverse-designed nanophotonic neural network accelerator. Fascinating work though!

I want AI to make as many decisions for me as possible because my own daily willpower and energy are limited. I should be focusing on what truly matters and outsource / delegate / automate all else.

BEAMZ: Still very much a broken prerelease but something you might want to keep an eye on if you're interested in FDTDs.

BEAMZ is my baby. I made it, all on my own. It's little, and broken, but still good. Yeah — still good.

Did I mention that simulations are now also numerically stable and accurate by default? Aside from minimal insertion loss (which is why the FDFD mode solver could still be improved) the inserted modes are super stable, too.

I don't know why I didn't rework the meshing earlier. Anyway. We now have pretty much instant meshing :) where previously it would take like half a minute or more for most 2D simulations and scaled horribly.
