Musovski more than doubled that, in less time, and now fetched a nice transfer fee.

This is the fundamental lie of “capitalism” in sports: it’s not a free market where consumers rationally pick the best laundry detergent. Fans have deep historical, cultural, and family ties to a club and won’t change colors.
Owners exploit this, and profit immensely from them.
Owners are trying to do what they think is best for their business. If they produce a better product than the existing competition in the market, then I’ll be a customer.
