Heavy thundery rain on parched & hard ground will lead to rapid run off and heightened flood risk this week. But - this will in no way correct weeks of dry weather so most of England will remain in drought. So we are in that twilight zone of having both flood & drought warnings…

Was a great walking trip to Bolton Abbey with kind PGRs from @EnvLeeds , and especially with amazing Colleagues @santosa_sp @Qiuyu0825 and @HongGyhwa We four are in common in being international PGRs in physical geography, loving the nature and supervised by Prof @geojho 🤓
