Quarterly result update ( a bit more comprehensive ) . Total Comp reported results so far : 690.Cleaning for comp with 0 sales ( oddly 44 such companies ), and some comp which have no comparables from last year, companies to study : 624. How they fared ?.

Sorry to say but whoever writes things like Grok’s ( or some other LLM ) deep research or some other thing replicate what McKinsey, Deloitte etc charges lot of it for. He/She has read/understood the output of neither the LLM nor those firms. Delusion is real in this #AI.

To top it all, on some iterations, it even gave wrong citations. For Chola, it gave me references to articles which for a different company in my portfolio. ( Since I re-ran the prompt, lost that output ).

In some cases, mixed the two companies. While I asked for Chola Financial Holdings, it gave me answers for both Chola Investment & Finance and Chola Financial Holdings

In some cases, wasnt even able to get the prices for well tracked companies. And gave wrong answers under performance relative to NIFTY500TRI , eg. eclerx was down 2.7% yesterday compared to decline 0.27% for index , clearly not Outperformed. For Eicher , it was a +1% yesterday

The obsession with Perplexity (Features like "Tasks" & "Labs" ) proves we're in the "all style, no substance" era of AI. The output looks great, but the answers are often shallow or inaccurate (Even in its 'specialty' of Financial Data). A pretty interface can't fix a bad.

An extremely poor Corporate account opening experience with @IDFCFIRSTBank . 20 days and account not opened. Eventually had to stop and take the cheque back. Over reliance on technology sometime has its own issues. Faulty links, too much inflexibility in terms of process.

Am usually a big fan of releases from Open AI, but ChatGPT Agents has to be one of the worst release from them. Does nothing extra over and above the already existing features. Worst outputs compared to normal queries, takes crazy amount of time and huge security concerns.

Interesting new world : People who can't themselves do things like 'Forensic Analysis' as HUMANS are coming up and pithching their AI solutions for the same. People consuming these should realize that these are trained models. If the trainer sucks, the model isnt going to be.

Really not liking this new trend of calling AI as a 'co-worker' or a 'human replacement'. While I am creating a lot of AI agents for my research work, it amazes me how companies are selling it as if its some human co-worker. Its a fairy tale to say the least. .

This. And to understand and appreciate the difference between intelligence and conduct just look at the press briefings of both nation. One is to the point factual summaries with satellite imagery . Others feel like a work of unemployed story teller / video editor displaying.
So, Pakistan has been targeting civilians with bullets, drones and missiles. India has limited its strikes to terrorists and military installations. Difference between terrorist state and civilized country.
