Unexpected but exciting new opportunity: I'm the Editor of @OJEPofficial! I've got some cool ideas to bring forward but the main thing is making research more accessible https://t.co/9lTLdqQXZ6 PS All advice for being an editor is greatly appreciated

Has anyone heard of/have any thoughts on Kieran Egan or his book: The Educated Mind: How Cognitive Tools Shape Our Understanding (1991)? 1st heard about it from this (long) review: https://t.co/bzPN1hxcjg V. interesting critique of goals of education and suggested alternatives.

The UCL ed psych doctorate course is "winding down" due to a desire by the DfE to have a greater distribution of courses across the country (several are currently concentrated in London) and because the IoE also offers the doctorate https://t.co/O77JeWriiI Thoughts? #twitterEPs

Lots of coverage today of the UK study that says breastfed kids are more likely to get good exam results. This is the study: https://t.co/rUYRxQIOZR I can't possibly write another article about this because you'll think I'm obsessed, so here's a Twitter thread about it instead:

How do TEPs and EPs go about collecting child voice post consultation or assessment? Or just in general about how things are at school? Wondering if anyone uses any apps or online tools? Any thoughts much appreciated #twittereps

Few things better than going in for a school visit, finding out that a load of farm animals are in school today, and the kid you're observing during break goes to see them #twitterEPs

I strongly recommend 'The Genetic Lottery' by @kph3k. We cannot ignore the role genetics plays in understanding ourselves, but also we must disentangle the history of eugenics from genetics research to move forward. Super thought-provoking

You are almost certainly very bad at judging yourself for things related to self-worth. Try and recalibrate using information from others. Hay una alta probabilidad de que no te juzgues con precisión. Tienes que usar las opiniones de las otras personas. https://t.co/HkLQ4qwetx

Another attempt to reduce the complexity of rising adolescent self-harm to smartphones. Important to note: The original graph has been re-drawn in ways that affect its interpretation. The study it’s taken from (by my colleagues in Manchester) drew a different conclusion. 🧵
