To throw out a “mark and avoid” on Schreiner based on part of a thought from an entire book I believe is an injustice as to how we review theological works *and* misunderstands the intent of “mark and avoid” biblically.
"Good works are necessary for final justification" is not true in this universe or the next because "God justifies the UNGODLY" (Romans 4:5). Mark and avoid.

Man, I love the local saints. Pop teachers and celeb pastors have got nothing on guys like this. This is the kingdom of God.
This Rod, he gets to church 1 hour before we serve coffee and donuts. He has to stop three times while walking in to catch his breath. He will have to sit down and rest once in the building. He will tell you that worshipping Jesus with the saints is worth the effort. I love Rod!
