If your self-identity is closely wrapped up with particular beliefs that you hold, then those beliefs can pull your strings like a puppeteer. Ideological possession extends beyond religious zealotry to include marriage to all kinds of beliefs, including pseudoscientific ones.

Over 6 but not sure if it is 7 or 8. This anti-vaxxer values family so much that he brings them up here on X, but he can’t remember how many he lost. This is why no one believes anti-vaxxxer nonsense.
@DrNeilStone I lost over 6 friends and family from that poison not to mention another 3 with alot of health issues.3 dead in their 30-40's completely healthy no problem until after vaxed. Others crippling heart issues.

It’s wild how some people try so hard not to sound like bigots, but can’t help themselves. “I don’t want Filipinos flooding in either, but they’re okay because they’re Christian”? That’s textbook prejudice wrapped in a compliment. Still bigotry, just dressed up.
@karra_moonstone @strunfasticno @CTVNews Filipinos, I don't want them flooding in either, but at the same time they are great people and would not have the same negative impact as all these Indians and Muslims. Most Filipinos are also Christians.
