Lesson OTD: Surgery is not just about the operation. It’s taking care of the whole patient. Ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed. A technically perfect amputation won’t heal w/out proper nutrition, glucose control, rehab plan, etc.

tidbit: “mural thrombus” is a typical finding w/in a AAA. Unless other criteria are present (symptoms, rupture, meets size criteria) no change in treatment/surveillance plan required. Anticoag is not needed 😊
