Almost every #WomanInMedicine has a moment where her idea wasn’t heard/heeded. Too many dudes are in denial about that bc we don’t listen.

@MedBookClub1 @WimedicineOrg @ShikhaJainMD @aoglasser #MedBookClub A1: The past couple years, as I’ve made more of an effort to listen to and pay attention to my women colleagues and their efforts and struggles, one of the most consistent statements is the movement away from Hollow messaging and cheerleading, and toward real change,

@MedBookClub1 @WimedicineOrg @ShikhaJainMD @aoglasser #MedBookClub A1b: the work toward getting women into the rooms where it happens, getting men on board as allies, and tearing the legs out from the myths about why women earn less to focus on the fact that they do.

Non-traditional is a powerful alignment these days, as we discover how many traditions are rooted in misogyny, and work to change them.

As one of the contributing authors, #WIMSbook and blog have been one platform where I’ve been able to disseminate writing that has a narrative or advocacy focus - much of my scholarly work is in these non traditional spaces #medbookclub
