Congrats to Sungwon on her first @J_A_C_S paper, revealing new insights to improve red phosphorescence quantum yields in cyclometalated platinum. She is on the market for a national lab or academic postdoc, and whoever hires her is getting a great one.

Dooyoung makes it an unlucky 13 (PhDs from our group) after a flawless defense on new classes of copper(I) charge-transfer photosensitizers. I had stars in my eyes watching this masterclass unfold.

The dirty dozen: belated congrats to Sungwon, our group’s 12th Ph.D.! Excellent defense yesterday on red to NIR phosphorescence. She’s hoarding all the photos from the occasion so you’ll have to take my word that the group had a great time celebrating her achievements.
