Just attended a WISM seminar in which Melike Sarac and Brady West reported on this research on showcards: This nicely highlighted the wealth of data available from the @ESS_Survey for methodological research.

It was truly uplifting and an honour to be able to hand out these awards.
An event to celebrate the winners of the inaugural @SurveyFutures 🇬🇧 Early Career Impact Awards was held by @RoyalStatSoc last week. Nathan Reece (@CityUniLondon) was recognised for work on preparing for the use of self-completion modes in our #survey.

A new (positive!) @iseressex blog post from me about the role of good statistics in the war against disinformation. There are some glimmers of hope (at least in the UK) @EssexSocSci @Uni_of_Essex.

The aim of this paper is simply to provide a structure and context for thinking about inclusion in surveys. I hope it is useful to some, as I do find context sometimes lacking in discussions of inclusive surveys.
A new working paper has been produced that focuses on population subgroups that may be under-represented in UK population #surveys. This latest paper has been written by @ProfPeterLynn (@iseressex 🇬🇧) as part of @SurveyFutures, funded by @ESRC 🇬🇧.
