The newly formed Missouri Alliance Network (MAN) is a Political Action Committee with a clear goal: building an alliance between Missouri politicians and Israel, a state presently committing a genocide against the Palestinian people.

@CaraSpencerSTL was right to reject the endorsement of the MAN and we are happy to see that neither her nor @saintlouismayor will be beholden to this organization when the new mayoral term begins.

STL is a pro-ceasefire city -- and its voters will not tolerate candidates who support Israel’s human rights abuses.

…and Rabbi Ze'ev Smason, the only person in the state of Missouri to testify in support of the terrifying Senate Bill 72 (which, if passed, would authorize bounty hunters to track down and detain immigrants).

Beyond the MAN’s Board Chair Rabbi Jeffrey Abraham, known for his racist hate speech (e.g. “there are no ‘innocent civilians’ in Gaza”), leaders of the PAC also include Stacey Newman, the coalitions director who ran Jewish outreach for Rep Wesley Bell’s campaign…

As shared in an article in the Jewish Insider, the PAC’s endorsement of Spencer was potentially motivated by a desire to punish Mayor Tishaura Jones specifically because of Jones’ close relationship with and steadfast support for Cori Bush.

Organizers of the PAC are modeling the organization after their campaign to defeat Congresswoman Cori Bush; they opposed Bush specifically because of her support for Palestinian human rights and opposition to Israel’s policies of apartheid and state violence.

The MAN wants to punish politicians who stand up for Palestinian human rights and who speak up against Israel’s crimes and America's contributions to and complicity in them. The PAC vows to get involved in every state house, state senate, and municipal election.

And we commend @saintlouismayor for not being appealing enough for the PAC to endorse her in the first place. All politicians approached by this organization in the future should continue to follow her lead and renounce any endorsement or monetary support.
