They served a combined 76 years for crimes they didn't commit. They were freed from prison but still had to deal with the racism that awaited them.

By signing S8046/A10194 @NYGovCuomo has demonstrated commitment to improving prison conditions in NYS. Allowing independent observers more authority to access and examine state prisons will bring transparency & accountability to the most overlooked corners of NY’s justice system.

Working on improving our prison systems and holding them accountable should extend beyond their walls to the systems that keep our incarceration rates at all time highs. Our social justice system should not seek prisoners.

It has been 8 months of being confined to a cage since #COVID19. 23/24 hour lockdown in a kennel sized cell. My close friend recently attempted suicide because of it. He's currently in medical care. Pray for him.

Most of your prisons in Alabama are dorms. You have 136 ppl in a dorm designed for 65. How can you social distance? 160% prison capacity and NO RELEASES. Parole being denied at a rate of 87%. ADOC needs new oversight
