Teach kids how to lose. Losing doesn’t mean quitting, pouting, blaming or tantrums. It doesn’t mean “feel good” trophies. It means you have some work to do. It means coming back tomorrow & trying again. You can’t be a great winner without knowing how to lose & learning from it!

More news: I can confirm a big group of @MLB players will refuse to wear pride or trans flags of any kind this year if asked to by their teams. This includes star players. A few strong men taking a stand is leading others to as well. Courage is contagious.

Due to inclement weather resulting in high rain totals, flash flooding, and road closures, all Johnston County Public Schools, including Early College and CTLA, will not hold in-person classes tomorrow, Nov. 13. Instead, tomorrow will be a Remote Learning Day for all students.

Players: Your coach’s job is to coach you. That means praise when you’re doing it right & correction when you’re not. Don’t get defensive or talk back over the correction. Listen to understand. It’s how you get better. Welcome accountability. It helps you in the game & in life.

Judging others is always a mistake. No matter what you think, remember there’s always more to the story. Treat others with respect, goodness, dignity. You don’t know what others have been through, but you just might be the one person who can change their direction. Just be kind.
