Wanted to post an update that I'm unlikely to return to producing any sort of mtg finance content so this will likely be my last tweet. No drama or real life problems, I've simply switched to traditional markets. Thanks to everyone who supported me over the years!

This is why I loved W40K so much back when I was actively engaging in #mtgfinance. I'm predicting that many of the cards are going to 10x in relatively short timeframes.

It's time for me to move to other things. I really appreciate all the kind words and support that I've gotten over the years and wish everyone the best of luck with their own lives and financial journeys.

Again, no big controversy, I just prefer stocks and Bitcoin now that I'm older and have less patience for the actual selling of MTG. I'd rather have the time than the money and selling stocks takes seconds vs the hours I was putting into my eBay store.

I still plan to engage in mtg finance since I still plan to keep magic in my life but it's mostly going to be things like maxing out on Spongebob Secret Lairs and bling Marvel sealed and no one needs me to tell them that. I'm hanging in the towel for traditional "flip" specs.

UB Aggro is currently the #1 deck in Standard and most lists are now playing 3-4 copies of Kaito, Bane of Nightmares. Since he's a Mythic and a must-have for all things Yuriko/ninjas I could see his price going places (especially on TCG Direct) #mtgfinance.

Gold is up 40%, the S&P 500 65%, Bitcoin 450%, and Cradle is down 33%. I'm not saying that these are all apples to apples comparisons but it feels like MTG hasn't been active since the pandemic. Hopefully 2025 will turn that ship around.

Was talking to @ChiStyleGaming about this but it's disheartening to see stocks at ATHs, gold at ATHs, BTC at ATHs, on and on and on, and MTG is flat since 2021. If you adjust for inflation you realize just how badly it's lagging as an asset class #mtgfinance.

If something really juicy catches my eye I'll still post about it, especially since I expect some substantial Modern bans that could shake up the format. Goodbye The One Ring and Boros Energy, you won't be missed!

In particular I'm going to want to load up on bling offerings of sets like Marvel and Final Fantasy, as well as SLDs featuring UB characters. Just have basically no appetite to flip marginal specs for the next few months when I could sell off my inventory and prep dry powder.

As a heads up I'm probably going on a bit of an #mtgfinance hiatus. FDN is a flop, I don't care about Innistrad Remastered and my only specs will likely be the new SLD Commander deck and SLD Miku until Aetherdrift drops. 2025 looks like bonkers a year so I'm being selective.

One result doesn't make a trend but it's interesting to see Leyline Axe popping up in Pioneer as an enabler for Metalwork Colossus #mtgfinance.

Showcase Screeching Scorchbeast has had bullish price action since July and seems like a great card to flip on TCG Direct (especially foils). 40K cards like Ultramarines Honour Guard and Magnus the Red (Niv-Mizzet) are also marching higher #mtgfinance.
