P7A are taking part in the @Natures_Voice #BigSchoolsBirdwatch this January! We started by sharing and developing our previous knowledge of different bird species through various activities. We’re looking forward to getting out there to gather data and do some spotting! 🐦‍⬛🪶🦉

We had a fantastic morning at our West Loan campus, taking part in our Christmas Singalong. All of our P1-P3 classes chose their favourite songs, and we had lots of fun singing and dancing together! 🎅

P1C loved our first #festivefriday of the season. We wanted to practice writing Christmas words during literacy. Look at our wonderful work!

Finally, we enjoyed being outdoors with some P4 buddies! The P4s took us into the trees to create colour sticks by gathering different materials in different colours. We then challenged them to scavenger hunts that we designed. Overall, lots of great, collaborative outdoor fun!🌳

We then did a quick music activity where we created an 8 bar rhythm using different sounds and actions then performed it by walking the music! Some introduced different tempos and rhythms whilst others had a go a recreating their favourite songs! 🎼👏🏻

As part of #outdoorclassroomday, P7A took maths outdoors! We first had to use chalk and string to measure the radius of a circle and draw it. Afterwards, we worked on displaying analogue time and writing time in different formats! ⏰ #outdoorlearning #outdoormaths

PTPS Running Club took on some pyramid intervals this morning! We focused on keeping steady paces at each interval and showed brilliant stamina, resilience and perseverance. High expectations in action! Thanks again to our parent volunteers and @PrestonpansAS for the support!🏃🏼🏃🏼

P6A have started their new topic ‘Natural Disasters’ and this week have been learning about the different layers of the Earth 🌏 and made these cool models using plasticine to show the layers! #IDL #activelearning #Earthmodels #creative
