While France is banning short-haul flights, the UK government is now promoting them, under the slogan 'Grow the Economy' More like 'Kill the Living World'. Policies like this, in times like these, will be recorded in the history books as ecocide.

Are you still resisting the urge to tidy up your garden? Well done you! Letting the garden sleep in for winter allows insects to complete their life-cycles, ready to emerge when the weather warms up. #springcleaninspring

The City of Copenhagen wanted to know the overall costs and benefits of cycling for transport compared to driving, so they commissioned health economists to calculate it. Their findings? - Every mile driven costs society £0.98 - Every mile cycled *saves* society £0.88

By being less tidy in your garden, and leaving dead and hollow stems of plants unpruned over the winter, you'll be providing shelter for hibernating insects, including ladybirds, during the colder months 🐞

@Vic_Gill Here's one I snapped (!) earlier - in a hedge next to our ancient woodland Red Scar & Tunbrook SSSI nature reserve in Preston, Lancashire. An industrial development is planned nearby & we're seeking a woodland (& wetland) buffer. @Lancswildlife https://t.co/scXLFmjxSE
