Trafficking survivors need immigration relief to rebuild their lives. There is a cap of 5,000 T-visas available each year for #traffickingsurvivors. The U.S. has never reached that cap. If @USCIS fails to reach the 5,000 cap, the T-visas will be lost forever. #SurvivorsCannotWait

The message near the Bayside Trail says, “I’m so ignorant to think we’d make it out of this thing TOGETHER…or alive.” This just scratches the surface of the despair we all feel knowing there is no ready, short-term solution for unsheltered people here https://t.co/W9Qj93Ydlf

Without independent reporting under local stewardship, too many Mainers would remain in the dark about critical issues affecting our communities.

It's a big day in Augusta, as the Maine State Legislature's Committee on Health and Human Services is holding a public hearing for several bills related to General Assistance. Some are good, some are bad, but MIRC staff will be there for all of them! https://t.co/RV8C85CtRQ

No one should have to live outside, but that is what is happening to an unprecedented number of Mainers right now. In Portland, the Parks Department recently counted 102 tents set up by people experiencing homelessness — a new record for the area.
