Great list of things that every vibe coder should follow to avoid making the same set of mistakes reg privacy. I've always been against views for these operations btw and have used the lesser known column privileges (still in alpha) in @supabase. Curious to know what others do.
To fix it, I created a PostgreSQL view that queried only the fields I needed from profiles, excluding email. I updated the frontend to query that view instead. Seemed more secure… but I accidentally made things worse. (More on that soon.).

Good move @weweb_io to introduce parity pricing. Lots of devs in our Indian builders community and around the world have been asking for this from other low/no-code platforms, but haven't heard back. Definitely a step in the right direction to make their platform more accessible

@supabase Also addressing the scenario in the quote - in case you're adding roles or any other info in the metadata, this can be set in the edge function itself. Finally, if there's no way to obfuscate the function name or the endpoint to your edge function, ensure that you've set up CORS.

Auth in @supabase MUST always be handled server-side. Since the project URL and anon key are visible, anyone can sign up, no matter what your DB's RLS setup is. Ideally:.1. Use an edge function that utilizes the service key to create the user and call that function from your side.
If you are building app with Supabase in bubble, . Don't setup the user_type like this- specially superadmin permission. Since project URL and public key is available, anyone can create the account with that user_type.
