👩🍼 Pregestational diabetes → babies had a 4.3x higher risk of CCHD. 🤰 Gestational diabetes → 1.5x higher risk. That’s a big difference, highlighting the impact of preconception health.

Amazingly well written Dr. @MarkDSiegel1 It's not fair to compare someone with all the resources and 10 publications to someone with no resource but does everything for even 1 publication. This world needs kindest doctors; you learn medicine with time.

We are using almost 4 times the average characters in patient notes in the USA than doctors elsewhere. The burden of documentation is crazy here. Our notes are bloated; we need to scroll all the way to bottom to find one piece of recommendation. @ACPIMPhysicians @ABIMcert
@DrDiGiorgio Agree completely! And thanks for referencing the figure from our paper “Physician Burnout in the Electronic Health Record Era: Are We Ignoring the Real Cause?” ⤵️ https://t.co/ZOZ5JMNrSX

This is crazy. The idea of training to be physician should be to spend more time with patients and learn the art of medicine. We are hooked up on computers, need orders for every small thing like "patient may shower" @DrDiGiorgio @ACPIMPhysicians @ABIMcert
Its tragic to see what residency program has become -- residency program is about being as efficient as you can be using the electronic medical record. Sad. @DrDiGiorgio on @DRsLoungePod
