Our 8th grade Potters are featured on this week’s @MortonPotterTV Coaches Show. Hear from Coach Parrott, Jude, and Benton in this episode and stick around for some other MHS/MJHS sports updates as well.

8th grade Potters win 14-2 vs Tremont. Mueller and Ohnesorge kept the opponent's offense in check on the mound while the offense provided 4 Home runs from Springer, Hinz, Reeb, and White. Tongate, Hoffman, Reeb, & Couri all hit 2Bs in the game.

7th Grade Potters defeat Dunlap Middle 12-0. Ace Monfre and Briggs Overcash combine on a no hitter. Monfre had 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Levi Parnham and Cale Menold each had two hits.

8th Grade Potters win 15-3 vs Olympia. White, Kominkiewicz, and Hurst only gave up 2 hits combined on mound. Hinz (2-2, 2B/3B, 4 RBI), Tongate (3-3, 2B), Springer (2-3, 2B/3B, 3 RBI), & England (2RBI 2B) led offense. 8-0-2 on year.

For the Junior High, it was the 2nd time winning the Millard Invite. Won it in back in 2023.

8th grade Potters win in an extra innings walk off vs Chatham Glenwood to win the 10th Annual Millard Invite 2-1. Pitching staff only surrenders 2 hits. Reeb (5 IP/5K) pitched great on mound. Hinz & Tongate great in relief. Springer with a base hit to win in 8th.

8th Grade Potters beat Pekin Edison Saturday 12-0 in Round 2 of Millard Invite. Hoffman throws a 1 Hitter going 4 IP with 7Ks. Couri (RBI) & Springer (2 RBI) both had 3 hits. White and Tongate each had 2 RBIs. Flaugher with 3 RBIs.

8th grade Potters win Friday night 7-3 vs Parkside in Round 1 of Millard Invite. Springer (4IP, 3H, 4K) & Couri (3IP, 1H, 7K) great from the mound. Couri leads the offense with 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Springer with 2 hits and Hoffman with 2 RBI 2B.

7th Grade Potters defeat Kingsley 15-3. Jackson Boeker got the win on the mound. Cale Menold and Ben West each had 3 RBIs.

7th Grade Potters posted an 11-1 win over Chiddix this afternoon. Mason Stephens was great on the mound with 8 strikeouts. Levi Parnham, Cale Menold, and Stephens all had three or more hits.

8th grade Potters win 10-0 vs GTH. Ludolph w/ 4 IP only giving up 2 hits. Couri goes 4-4 w/ 2 RBIs. Hoffman, Reeb, and Ludolph had 2 hits. 4-0-2 on season. Next game is Friday vs Parkside for the Millard Invitational at 5.

Both the 7th and 8th grade games scheduled for today have been canceled. There will be no practice due to the heat.

In the 2nd Game on Saturday, the 8th grade ties 8-8 vs Edwardsville. Potters trailed going into the 5th, 8 to 1, but managed a huge comeback thanks to two big 2 RBI 2Bs by White and Flaugher. Ludolph also had 2 hits on the day. 3-0-2 record after the first week of play.

On Friday, the 8th Grade team beat East Peoria 14-7. Hinz was great on the mound, throwing 3 shutout innings. Tongate leads the offense with 2 hits and 5 RBIs. Mueller collected 3 hits, and Hinz had 2 hits, including a 2B.

Parkside Junior High has informed us today’s 7th grade game is canceled due to the heat. Unit 5 cancelled all games in their district.

8th grade Potters win 12-2 vs Dunlap Valley. Hinz with a 💣. Mueller, Tongate, Reeb, and Couri with multi hit games. Mueller and Tongate great on mound only surrendering 3 hits combined on the day.
