Zach Lujan has been the offensive coordinator for 13 games at Northwestern. In 7 of them the ‘Cats have scored just 1 or 0 offensive TDs. At what point do we consider it’s not that Wright, Lausch, or Stone can’t play QB it’s the OC can’t put them in a position to be successful?.

.@pottersfootball with a great win over Mahomet 28-27. I had a blast calling it with @CTEBrian. My first football play-by-play since @WNURSports & it went down to a 2point play with :57 seconds left. Thankfully working with @PaulDocWatson last year gave me a good idea what to do.

At any level (and probably any sport) if you’re a first time head coach it’s pretty smart to have someone who has done that job on the sidelines with you.

I will also add I hope this was bad decision by some assistant AD. If the head coach was actually worrying about jersey selection it might explain why his team lost by 20.

Honestly jersey-gate is what I’m most upset by yesterday. Maybe NU will be terrible but we don’t really know after week 1. We’ve see plenty of eggs laid by ultimately good NU teams. But NU has got so much bad press lately why create more? The jersey decision is another NU fumble.
It has been weighing on me since it came out. I don't think Northwestern meant anything malicious (and Tulane was going to win anyway). But Braun and NU majorly dropped the ball by not allowing Tulane to wear white yesterday. Even if the notice was late, they should have done it.

I missed the vast majority of the Northwestern game (maybe a good thing) but for those who saw it: was Stone just that awful or was our play selection still completely nonsensical?.

1 day til kickoff. We did it! @NUFBFamily highlight for 80 days until kickoff. Thanks to everyone who liked, commented, etc. Hope they brought back good memories. We finish with a Cam Porter TD in the last game at old Ryan Field. Hope we see Cam in the end zone plenty this year.

College Game Day visited @NUFBFamily for the first time on this frigid day in 1995. Hudhaifa Ismaeli recovered this fumble and returned it for a TD to seal Northwestern's first win over Iowa in more than 20 years and help put NU within 1 win of a Big Ten Title.

This was the first game I saw at Martin Stadium and I'm excited to hopefully get up to Evanston for another @NUFBFamily game before the end of this season. It is an amazing setting. This toe-tap TD from Marshall Lang occurred right in front of my seat in the south end zone.

Anyone who has followed these posts knows I'm a bit of a uniform nerd so wanted to get this in before 2025 kickoff: His first year with @NUFBFamily Justin Jackson wore 28 instead of his well-known 21. Also, the original gothic jerseys had purple numbers instead of gold.

Trade your TEs and then run a jet sweep the other way with Jelani Roberts the fastest guy on the field. That was the plan for @NUFBFamily OC Mick McCall to dail up 6 more points in what would be a 42-7 dominating Wildcat win in Champaign in 2017.

In 2007 @NUFBFamily & Minnesota played a wild game. The 'Cats game back from down three scores to get it to overtime when the Gophers decided to win it or lose with this one play. John Gill hit Gopher QB Adam Weber and the 'Cats got a win!

The 2005 version of @NUFBFamily announced they were going to be a factor in the B1G with a dominating 49-14 on the road vs top-25 ranked Michigan State. Here the 'Cats swings momentum as Demetrius Eaton recovers a fumble and takes it 86-yards for a touchdown.

Single digit days til kickoff so two @NUFBFamily plays today. CJ Bacher makes the first of many connections to Andrew Brewer for a big play and Tyrell Sutton takes it into the end zone to get the 'Cats on the board on the way to a 21-7 upset win in Iowa City.

One of the toughest runners I've ever seen at QB was Kain Colter when he played for @NUFBFamily. In this game vs Eastern Illinois Colter ran for 3 TDs and topped 100 yards both rushing and passing. 10 days until kickoff for the 2025 Wildcats!

One thing I'd like to see for @NUFBFamily in 2025 is a win at Wrigley Field. I suspect this is the last chance because if you build an $850 million dollar stadium you should use it. To this point I think Brian Peters opening the closed end zone is the best NU moment at Wrigley.

One of my favorite @NUFBFamily plays here from the 2013 Gator Bowl. I think the only person at EverBank Stadium that knew Trevor Siemian was keeping the ball on this play was Trevor Siemian. Brilliant play, fantastic moment as the 'Cats moved towards their 1st bowl win since 1949
