Seabees shot through multiple belts of 7.62 and 50 cal on each truck. Marines were able to finish the ambush and the Seabees were able to tow the truck out. Thankfully no KIA as the RPG didn’t detonate and “the Taliban can’t shoot for shit”.

While the Seabee convoy worked on evacuating the injured from this truck, their marine escorts dismounted and pushed the enemy. My friend has no shortage of stories of Marine bloodlust. Any chance to fight they would.

A few years ago I got to see this truck in person at the Seabee museum. One of my close friends was the gunner of the truck behind this one. If you look at the rear you can see where an RPG hit it as they were traveling through a mountain pass in Afghanistan.
