#NEWS: Today we're excited to announce a double-expansion of our collaboration with @pfizer. We'll be expanding our existing AI Lab partnership, while also launching a new partnership to develop novel payloads for Antibody-Drug-Conjugates (ADCs).

🏅🏅🏅 This expansion represents the 3rd deal PostEra and Pfizer have done together. Along with our other flagship AI partners, @Amgen and the @NIH, these partnerships form the cornerstone of how we support the development of new cures for diseases outside our internal pipeline.

Yet there is much to be done to improve the current states of ADCs and we're excited at PostEra to apply our AI to tackle one of those challenges -- the design of novel payloads (think the D of ADCs). .

⛓️ADCs: Arguably one of the hottest spaces in recent years, ADCs can offer a best-of-both-worlds by allowing for a very targeted delivery of a very potent agent; Pfizer's $43Bn acquisition of Seagen speaks to just how much excitement surrounds this technology. .

After a series of successes, Pfizer went on to nominate the maximum number of programs into the AI Lab. Given the exciting progress and great partnership between the two teams, the AI Lab will now be expanded to include additional programs. .

🧪 AI Lab: 3 years ago PostEra began to apply our latest advances in machine learning to a series of small molecule programs at Pfizer. The teams called this the AI Lab as the intent was to provide a relatively autonomous environment for AI to prove (or not prove) it's worth. .

Amidst much AI hype and a difficult market backdrop, the whole team has pushed hard over these last 4 years to prove the value of our AI platform on real discovery programs, with multiple partners, across multiple therapeutic areas.

4/4 In this vein, PostEra now co-leads the @asap_discovery effort funded by NIAID, which aims to preemptively drug viruses of pandemic concern using our AI platform to accelerate the medicinal chemistry of these programs.

3/4 A key takeaway for future discovery efforts is the importance of building up an arsenal of quality chemical probes around understudied viral targets as part of pandemic preparedness, and concomitantly technologies that allow us to search for these probes.

2/4 Along with scientific leaders at @TakedaPharma @Novartis @ncats_nih_gov @Vir_Biotech @GileadSciences and Pardes Bio, the discussion sought to identify the drivers for rapid discovery, many of which we learned as part of @covid_moonshot, and how we can go faster in the future.
