I defer to Tennis, game set match, if the fighting game tournament standard would be to play 3/5 of 2/3 sets then I'd call it a match.

Game is from "Go!" to "GAME" or "END".
Set, is the entire collection, so a set of games.
I usually see Match = Game

Match, definitely. But a set is almost synonymous in pretty much all cases except Grand Finals which may involve two sets.

Set = a collection of games
Match = a collection of sets (typically only in grand finals)

I said "Set" in the case of Grand Finals of something where it would include more than one match. Was also wrong.
