Politically muscle up - just fucking do it.
Murray Watt and attorney general's department officials confirm the government is considering releasing the sealed section of the robodebt royal commission report. #auspol #Estimates.

This is better framing!.
People with student debt are hurting. This down payment on wiping all student debt can't be held to ransom until after the next election. The PM says he wants the next government to cut debts, but he could do it now. Today I wrote to the PM, offering to pass the cuts this year.

I was going to say something here regarding clown shows, lack of due diligence on inputs, polluted modelling and excuses. But far from me to say.
Now in a *model*, it's fine to build in some mean reversion. We do that in ours, in fact (polling averages are somewhat regressed to the previous election + a uniform swing). But these are supposed to be polls, not models.

If I could give you guys one piece of political advice. Remember back in the noughties when GetUp use to claim credit for everything and got laughed at with the running joke "Thanks GetUp!" for literally anything that happened? You don't want to be there.
Labor's student debt announcement is testament to pressure from the Greens & the community. But 80% of a lifetime of debt is still a lifetime of debt. We can't stop here. If Labor really wanted to wipe student debt they could do it right now - not after an election.
