#Hungary's ruling party, #Fidesz, has postponed the vote on the "foreign agent" law till autumn. In this brief analysis, we consider the potential reasons behind the decision.

Péter Krekó, Political Capital's director, told The Guardian: Compared to the United States, the transformation in Hungary was rather slow but deep. It was like the frog-boiling-in-water model, and the propaganda machine played a crucial role.

"Orbán's popularity is flagging after 15 years of uninterrupted power, even as he positions himself at the forefront of the nascent right-wing 'illiberal international,'" commented Péter Krekó, director of Political Capital, to ABC News on CPAC Hungary.
