Three months after a magnitude 7.7 #earthquake hit #Myanmar, our humanitarian efforts have reached nearly 35,000 people. Half of these are girls & women, who are often the worst affected by disasters. Together with our partners, we will continue to support affected communities.

To date, Plan International has reached over 22,600 people with food, clean water, blankets, hygiene kits and mobile toilets & set up 20 child-friendly spaces for children to play and receive psychosocial support - helping them to process trauma and regain a sense of normalcy.

Exactly one month ago, a 7.7 magnitude #earthquake struck #Myanmar, leaving more than 41 million people in need of urgent support. Plan International have been on the ground since day one to deliver essential aid - shelter, water, food, healthcare, and safe spaces for children.

On April 16th, 2025, Plan Myanmar distributed water tanks, jerry cans, biscuit packs, and other relief items to support the affected population. In total, 9 water tanks (200 galons capacity) have been distributed to support 503 households across 3 reallocation sites in Mandalay.

In #Myanmar, Plan International is responding to the devastating #earthquake that hit Mandalay and the Sagaing region. Our initial response has been to distribute basic life-saving items, including dignity kits, to girls and women living in areas affected by the earthquake.
