Wiecie jaka jest JEDNA dobra rzecz wynikająca z afery wokół #IDEASNCBR i usunięcia @piotrsankowski: okazało się, że ludzi (bańkowo ale ta bańka nie taka mała) naprawdę interesuje los innowacji i AI w Polsce i jest zrozumienie, że brak wsparcia państwa to droga do cyfrowej koloni.

Co 'zabawne' dwa dni temu mieliśmy wieści z NeurIPS - najlepszej światowej konferencji AI. 6 publikacji z Ideas, najwięcej w PL (i to z dużym marginesem). Dużo wciąż do zrobienia oczywiście, ale marzenie o liczącym się _na świecie_ ośrodku AI już się zaczęło spełniać i . :(.

So here's a story of, by far, the weirdest bug I've encountered in my CS career. Along with @maciejwolczyk we've been training a neural network that learns how to play NetHack, an old roguelike game, that looks like in the screenshot. Recenlty, something unexpected happened.

A impressive piece of work. It is amazing that end-to-end hierarchical RL ‘just works’. It be cool one day to add planning as well, for example Subgoal Search :D [[( [(].

Uff this time of the year….
The time for @NeurIPSConf decision is approaching. 🙈 This year we deal with a record number of submissions (~19k vs. ~12.3k in 2023), managing >15k reviewers, >1.4k ACs, and ~200 SACs. The number of emails we had to answer was >5k. Still, the most important leap: Decisions 😱.

What are good prompts to generate prompts 🚀. and when we have a collapse 💣 (I can't resits thinking that this is akin the tower of derivatives as in 2008 ;)). At least it is time to use ML to generate them. Just read a cute work (see below). In the long run probably use RL:).

@_rockt I went through a visa process for 6 months visit in Oxford. I was a terrible. These included certified translations of my utility bills and making a photo of my 2yo daughter in a visa place not prepared properly. She had to stand alone scared on a chair as camera was too high.
