The first Passan free agent tweet of the off-season is about the Mariners signing a MiLB F/A pitcher as we all expected. And the news wasn’t deemed significant enough to be an ESPN app alert. 💀
Right-hander Randy Dobnak and the Seattle Mariners are in agreement on a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training, sources tell ESPN. Dobnak, 30, has pitched in parts of five seasons for Minnesota and has a career ERA of 4.86 over 140.2 innings.

My theory for tonight: I think the Tigers have about a 60/40 advantage, BUT if the game is still 0-0 by the middle of the 4th I think the probabilities will be essentially even, and for every inning after we keep the score at 0-0 our win probability increases like 5-10%.

Fun fact: I wore a trashcan to an Astros @ Mariners game in 2021. Javier Brockamonte told me before the game “It’s too early for this s**t, go home kid!”. Despite the Mariners loss that day, it was still exceptionally fun. I took 50+ photos with people including Astros fans.
This is pretty awesome. The Astros bullpen catcher who got the ball Cal Raleigh hit for home run number 57 to break Ken Griffey Jr.’s Mariners record for a season hands Raleigh the ball for him to keep after the M’s beat his team in a huge game. 🫡
