I think a lot of those types are people who aren't into the creative side of fandom, so the fandom experience for them immediately dies if the show isn't currently airing. BokuAka is such a common ship.

I don't understand the audacity to try and lecture or even diagnose people about their preferences in fiction. It's like intentionally sitting next to someone who's eating something you're severely allergic to and complaining that you now have hives. Go sit somewhere else!.

My stance is that people are allowed to be creepy about their fictional tastes. You don't HAVE to support what they're into; the point is to leave people alone and guard your own online space instead (blocking, muting, etc).
@puppiwinkle It’s “fictional” until it isn’t. The fact that a character looks like a child and you try to sexualize it is fucking creepy and disgusting. I ain’t trying to harass but it’s just incredibly wrong morally.
