I thought about doing a thread about my favorite lesson plan, but as I sat here on my computer tonight the thread turned into a 2200 page essay. So I published my first Medium post. I give you, "Catastrophe Commons." .

So I went to the bathroom, told the bartender, asked if I could leave my car there overnight, and called myself an uber. $20 home, $20 back to the bar the next morning. 💯 worth it.

I went on a Tinder date with a cop one time. We met at a bar. I had one glass of wine. Then seltzer. He made fun of me for drinking seltzer “like my grandma.” At the end of the night he asked if I wanted to come home with him. I said no. He threatened to pop me for a DUI.

She’s braver than I am. But it’s also rage inducing. I’m just at the start of really navigating, understanding, and accepting my own health issues and it’s a real slap in the face to see how many people just flat out hate people with disabilities.

This woman posts the most basic statements on disability rights, access, healthcare. Like… nothing she posts should be controversial. And the amount of hate under every post continually reinforces the need for her to keep posting.

Unpopular opinion among some people but not being able to be yourself around your spouse is an enormous problem and a completely valid reason to end a relationship. Ask me how I know about the damage not being able to be yourself does to you in a relationship.

This is one of the more personally painful false narratives I’ve seen in this era of disinformation. My dad died waiting for a kidney transplant. Organ donation is a selfless gift that saves lives. It’s evil to suggest otherwise.

My kiddo with my first husband makes fun of how his papa and I joke with eachother but I reminded him tonight that some parents go to court over and out of state visit so I think this is probably the better way to go.

Ugh. I remember texting @harriekd all excited saying “you made it to barbieheimer” 🥲.

The only shit I got from anyone all last week was one guy gently poking fun at how fast I talked. Why are people like this? Why can’t you just go on vacation and be a normal human being?.

We are finally almost home. One night in Virginia and then off to Massachusetts.

I’m really excited for when I get home and feel like I need to put on my LL Bean down jacket because it’ll be 80 degrees and I’ve spent the past week in the hottest city I’ve ever experienced 🤣.

I have a lot to say about sidewalks and people who park in front of ramps after this week.

We put so much sunscreen on today and yet all of us are so sunburned.

At @BeachHouseHHI let me know about Vacation Mobility Services. I called them up and they were able to get a beach wheelchair delivered literally within an hour! Got to enjoy those gorgeous warm southern Atlantic waters with my family.

So today we went to Hilton Head and rented a cabana at a resort through @ResortPass. Highly recommend that service. But my recent ankle reinjury made going to the beach unlikely. I can’t walk through the sand and I’m absolutely terrified of twisting it again. But the lovely staff
