Matt LaFleur said he wants to play his starters and there's data that says he's actually helping his players avoid injury by doing that. Sound weird? I thought so. But he's right. I wrote about it today for @TheLeapGB.

It's not just that the Packers got their asses kicked (Matt LaFleur's words) by the Saints and Vikings, the historical injury data suggests teams should play starters in the preseason.

Love and X will be fine for Week 1. As long as Golden/Kraft are good, the pass catchers will be fine. The defense was good without much from LVN last year and they have Walker’s replacement already running with the 1s.
When do we begin to get overly worried about these #Packers training camps injuries?. Love.X.Reed.Wicks.Doubs.Walker.LVN. I’m at an 8. Someone talk me down.

The Walker injury may end up being the reason there’s real competition because Morgan has done well the last week.
Jordan Morgan (again) got the first rep with the ones at LT. But Walker rotating in. Morgan also got a rep at RG. #Competition.

RT @zachkruse2: I actually think there is a world where Edge Cooper leads the Packers in sacks in 2025.

Good thing we have Mike on @LockedOnPackers tomorrow to talk about it.
One of the most fascinating quotes in the whole @SandoNFL QB Tiers was a coach on Jordan Love: . "I think his growth is stifled a little by playing the coach's offense as opposed to doing more of what Jordan would excel doing.".

See who joined Jackson in Tier 1, where Caleb Williams stacks up in the 2024 draft class, how far Aaron Rodgers fell and much, much more.

This is actually an interesting thought experiment. Joe Burrow on the Packers throwing to WRs who struggled to beat man coverage and catch last year but a good OL . vs. Jordan Love with a bad OL and the best 1-2 WR duo since Moss-Carter. How do they change?.
@Peter_Bukowski Stats aside, it feels like the league views Love as mid too. Burrow is better on the Bengals, and would be better on the Packers. It’s ok.

I've never seen better PR. The difference between CJ Stroud's perception and production is among the biggest I've ever seen in pro sports.
@Peter_Bukowski Did you see they had Stroud ahead of Love? I thought there might be a whole LoP just venting about how asinine that is.

I agree Burrow is better than Love, but it IS true that the Packers passing offense was more efficient last year adjusting for defenses faced. So that should be a signal about Love's quality, no?.
@Peter_Bukowski You can find a stat to make literally any argument you want. As someone who just watches football theres no argument that burrow is miles ahead of love. You can visually see it. And im a packers fan.

If Love had Chase and Higgins he’d have 45 TDs and 5000 yards too.
@Peter_Bukowski Well, as long as we acknowledge that any of us would trade Love for Joe Burrow in a heartbeat, that's cool, I guess. And it's even cooler since Burrow actually has good receivers and Love didn't.
