What an unfortunate news! I benefit a lot from IZA. The IZA summer school was a wonderful memory. Too bad younger students will never have this opportunity. I also wish one day I could be an IZA fellow. It also becomes an unrealistic dream now : (.

I find that a widening pay gap can explain more than half of the decline in labor force participation for women without college education, highlighting the impact of gender inequality during economic growth. (2/3).

I’m on job market this year!. Female labor force participation has declined in many developing countries over the past decades, including urban China and India. I use a life-cycle model to evaluate the importance of several channels to explain the decline in urban China (1/3).

One fun fact delivered by Bloom is that after Covid, people play Golf much more during the weekdays 🤣 A surprising benefit of working from home.
Just gave the @TheIFS annual lecture which was a fantastic event. Lovely personally as the IFS was my first job and the reason I ended up in academia. Also, being in London my parents aged 80 were able to come along, so very sweet. Here are the slides:
