Built in the 1860s, it was first called the City Assembly. By the early 1900s it had a dome, its own bowling alley & private power station. During Soviet times, the building was simplified. Now, the building is gone. Russia targets not just places but history itself.

As a result of Russia’s attack on Kherson’s right bank, the historic Palace of Culture of Shipbuilders was destroyed. It was one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. While rescuers were on site, Russia launched another strike — but they managed to take shelter in time.

Glass and ceiling fragments are gone. Books in every room are back in order. Fortunately, the publications survived — dusted but safe. We’re grateful to everyone who helped, physically and by sharing.

Russia’s attack on Kyiv damaged the office of 5 Kanal, a Ukrainian TV channel. No staff were injured, but part of the studio was destroyed, equipment ruined, and workspaces hit. Despite everything, the team quickly restored broadcasting.

In Odesa, the missile hit the legendary Odesa Film Studio. The attack destroyed sets, including for 'Dovzhenko' — a national film about the iconic Ukrainian director. Russia targets not just people or cities — it targets memory.
