These are the types of rules horse racing has always gone after full throttle, instead of what's important. Cara's Dreamchaser's mother and her six siblings are all NY breds, but let's screw this horse and owner, over a technicality....RIP
Cara's Dreamchaser had previously been DQd from purse money in a trio of NYB maiden races because she had been assigned NYB status by NYRA prior to completion of her NYB registration and thus ineligible for those races at the time they were run.

Also, for those thinking these modern horses are lesser because they only have 5 starts/year, Sierra Leone had 34 published workouts in 2025. Fierceness had just a few less. They both worked close to 100 times in 3 years. It's how they're trained, not the breed.

My unofficial results of the 2024 @BreedersCup vet scratches. It proves what a tough endeavor this is. The veterinarians seemed to correctly identify horses with concerns, but at the same time, some of the horses had major successes, afterwards.

In the old @DailyRacingForm, they would fill spaces with track abbreviations or historical stats & the leading all time money earners was one they used just about every day, and it seemingly never changed. John Henry and Kelso before him were always #1.

There was over $100k bet on Contrary Thinking to finish first in the BC Classic despite his connections entering him strictly as a pacesetter with no intention to win and he finished last and was eased late. That is just wrong and should not happen. The BC should be ashamed.

I really don't care how or who is making these things happen. I want to point out that the pari mutuel system in its current form is broken and allowing a group of people to make a mockery of horse racing at the same time killing your base fans on a daily basis is ridiculous.
Interesting that the most sophisticated wagering programs with regards to Harville, fair odds, and batch betting algos are still bit by game theory.

This is the difference why and how disqualifications should be explained.
I'm floored by how upset people are over this DQ. If they left it up, everyone would be moping about how inconsistent the stewards are, and Repole would post a rant tomorrow morning that would get 300 likes.
