As it’s spooky season, here are some demons from an 18th century demonology book for you. I’m particularly fond of number 4 who has sea monsters coming out of their fanny. You’re welcome.

Lovely Prunella Scales has moved to the great after-show party. I was lucky enough, many years ago, to have a chat with her and Tim at the Edinburgh Festival. They were both precisely what you would have wanted them to be. Thank you so much for making me laugh since childhood.

One of my favourite moments in Dads Army. Laurie and Le Mes are perfect here. Two old Pro’s, playing the script perfectly. Lovely stuff.

I had the absolute pleasure of chatting to Sally Knyvette of #Blakes7 and #Emmerdale for an hour, largely about #Shakespeare although those two series came up for discussion too, and you can hear it now. Links ⬇️

After Nabil Shaban earlier today now I hear June Lockhart has died. June was the all American Mum in the wonderful #LostInSpace. My love of archive TV bloomed thanks to the repeats on Channel 4 in the late 80s and it gave me a focus when my family life exploded. Thanks June. RIP.

The magnificent Nabil Shaban has gone to the great after-show party in the sky. Not only did he give a magnificent performance as the repulsive Sil in #DoctorWho but, much more importantly, was a co-founder of Graeae, one of the most important theatre companies in modern history.

🥳It's 358 years since #SamuelPepys shat in a fireplace: "I to bed and in the night was mightily troubled with a looseness (I suppose from some fresh damp linen that I put on) and was forced to rise and shit in the chimney twice; and so to bed and was very well again."🎉
