Starmer seems to have reached the “please don’t divorce me, or I’ll kill myself” stage of his relationship with the Labour party. Arguably better than his relationship with the electorate TBF 😁

I see lots of BBC people are now talking about (Tory) Robbie Gibb. Gibb presided over “The Daily Politics” for years, did a great job and there were few complaints. Likewise (Tory) Nick Robinson and (Labour) John Cole as political editors. It’s not about individual political

It seems our politicians have gone in a full circle of remembrance, from trying to outdo each other by wearing poppies the size of Triffids 10 years ago, to not wearing them at all this year.

Knocking on doors in Hetton today with the Labour team. Great to hear the pride people have in our community and the determination to keep making a difference.

Some of my colleagues appear to believe they were elected to provide a sequel to the years of Tory drama and chaos. They can’t have remembered the ending where an angry and tired electorate booted them out.

If Birmingham were destroyed in a nuclear holocaust, it would still be second in the BBC News website headlines, behind whatever their journalists had uncovered on Panorama that week.

For Dr Who geeks - here's the theme to "K9 & Company" sounding more like Magnum or something similar! @IanLevine has obviously been up to his usual remixing tricks https://t.co/oqcSnj3n3s

Devolution, we get more politicians and the worst waiting lists. But we cannot employ our own nurses. What a disaster. Abolish devolution and have a health system that works. Vote Abolish 2026 Abolish it.

Reform may lead the polls, but the #Caerphilly Senedd by-election result shows the mountain they have to climb to win a FPTP election and push Farage into No. 10. Reform led by 2-3% in polls, but left leaning voters coalesced against them to give Plaid Cymru a comfortable win.
