For most of Wednesday, many Locust Point residents experienced something they had not all summer: quiet. The noisy military ships polluting the area near hundreds of residents finally left. Then — as mysteriously as they moved — one came back. https://t.co/CDPTp3j5D8

Since early June, many Locust Point residents have had to live with the constant hum of two nearby military ships. How loud is too loud? @PatrickMcCas and I took to the streets to find out. https://t.co/Do3TPg581T

Locust Point residents have had to live all summer with a constant hum, about the volume of a vacuum cleaner. How does it compare to the loudest places in Baltimore? @PatrickMcCas & @NinaCGiraldo took to the streets (with a mic!) to find out. https://t.co/gwnZKugfNA

Baltimore ended the first half of 2022 with 179 homicides, the worst first half of a year on record (since 1970). Baltimore just ended the first half of 2025 with 68 homicides, which is the fewest on record. That’s a 62 percent drop from 2022-2025

@elonmusk Newsflash: The NEWS is being posted to *your platform* constantly by actual journalists. You know, the folks you dismissively call the “legacy media”. Without that content— what remains on X would be a toxic stew of nonsense, rumors, vitriol and conspiracy theories. You get it?

I'm on a full tuition scholarship at UM. If my scholarship was included in this rule, then I would have to pay nearly $22,000, out of pocket, to complete my planned degree, or I would have to drop two of my majors, undoing 42 credit hours (~2,200 hours of work).
