3,500 young people participated in the 1st year of SYEP Pride -the LGBTQ+ initiative in @NYCYouth Summer Youth Employment Program, it is the *largest* #LGBTQ workforce program in the world + in history. I’m incredibly proud to have created this program with @NYCMayor’s support.

While New York has expanded access to affordable health care, Washington Republicans are letting premiums skyrocket and coverage disappear. Unless they act, thousands of New Yorkers could lose their coverage on January 1. Our GOP reps need to extend the ACA tax credits now.

Catching lung cancer early shouldn’t depend on someone’s ability to pay. Today, we’re ensuring it doesn’t. We will now require insurers to cover these lifesaving screenings at no cost to patients. Because here in New York, we put people’s health first.

Trump’s directive to ignore World AIDS Day will not make the epidemic or the advocacy disappear. New York was the epicenter of the epidemic and we refuse to go back to that horror. New Yorkers will not turn a blind eye to people here or elsewhere living with HIV/AIDS.
1/ For nearly 40 years the US government has observed World AIDS Day to raise awareness and promote efforts to combat the epidemic. Today, as if sweeping aid cuts and attacks on the global health system weren't already enough, the Trump admin is showing again it does not care
