With ads, radiator badge and a couple of smaller decals on #NaughtyBus is just about finished. A localised satin coat on the transfers to seal and take off a bit of the gloss and we’ll be done. #JFFBooks

I realised my #NaughtyBus photos might be mistaken as AI generated. Here’s proof they aren’t. Those are real beans!

I’ll not be starting my next kit quite yet, but I thought it would be a good idea to study the instructions first - a stark contrast to those of the Tower Models bus!

All that #JFFBooks baked beans shenanigans behind us, we’ve got some authentic bus route blinds installed. Advert decals will be added when they arrive.

All this #JFFBooks silliness done, time to finish my model as a ‘real’ 207 bus by replacing the destination blinds and ads. Beans on toast for lunch!

Early start. Climbing rose dead-headed and tied back - before it gets too hot in the day.

(Concerned realists needn’t worry. I’ll be removing the fictional stuff and replacing with correct route indicators and period ads.).

Probably my favourite bit of adaptation for the Tower Models’ RT bus kit was designing and 3D printing my own chassis. I seriously don’t think the kit would have even gone together without it.

Eponymous #NaughtyBus from Jan & Jerry Oke’s great kids’ book. Tower Models’ ancient 1/76th scale kit required quite a bit of extra work, but very pleased with the result. #JFFBooks

Someone about to toss a perfectly good sandwich toaster because it had lost one of the hinge bolts. A simple replacement and we’re good to go.

I think #JFFBooks #NaughtyBus is just about finished. Missing the decal for the AEC radiator badge which I’d hoped would come today, but I’ve noticed that is also missing on the book cover, so I think I’m good.

Down to the fine details. A bit of aluminium foil for the maintenance step on the mudguard and petrol cap made from a bit of 3D printing filament.
