Consider this: Maximilian Kolbe was an absolutely heroic man, who devoted his whole life to Christ through Mary, and who gave up his life in Auschwitz to save another. And he’s being smeared on X by Protestant Slop Merchant Tim Kauffman, who is not fit to lace Kolbe’s boots.
Meanwhile, back in reality, “Saint” Maximilian Kolbe says Mary is “Quasi-part of the Trinity,” complete with this helpful diagram showing how she fits into the Trinity. No worries, I’m sure, there’s always room for one more. Just your basic Roman Catholic hyperlatria of Mary.

I can’t watch things like this. The whole point is to create the illusion that this is real. Sticking black and Asian actors in there just shatters that illusion and reminds you that you are watching agitprop, not art.
The oddest thing about casting black actors as historical figures in a BBC dramatisation of the Norman Conquest is the care otherwise taken over verisimilitude. Painstaking research ensures the 'correct' costumes and weapons. But faithful representation of reality excludes race.
