Wolfgang Petersen is a huge inspiration for me. #DasBoot TV series in 1985 was the most gripping, claustrophobic and human war drama I’d ever seen. I watched it with my dad who had been in the Navy during WW2. I often rewatch it and marvel at the storytelling.

I rewatched some of her early music videos after reading it. Nothing Compares 2U had me in pieces. Her tender voice in protest/love songs about people who mistreat her just kills me. The chapter about Prince was so awful I had to keep putting the book down and swear out loud!
