The 2 miler. It's in the name. 2 miles in 18 minutes carrying 35lbs of kit plus water and a rifle. This simulates moving 81mm mortars and GPMG SF role 7.72mm ammo across the battlespace. One day closer! #para #britisharmy #armyconfidence

Joe completed their fourth P Company event this afternoon. The Steeplechase is a timed 2.2 mile cross-country run with an assault course at the end. The Steeplechase represents pursuing the enemy through rural and urban environments. Half way there! #para #britisharmy

This morning Rhine Platoon ticked off another event on P Company. The Log Race is a notoriously difficult event. As a team, recruits run with the log for 2 miles. This represents the effort it takes to move heavy ammunition around the battlespace. #para #lograce #britisharmy

This morning they faced their first challenge. The Trainasium is a fantastic test. Situated 55 feet above the ground, it tests the candidates abilitiy to overcome fear and follow simple orders at considerable height. The same traits required to jump out of an aircraft. #para

On Sunday, 47 new recruits will arrive at ITC ready to let themselves be challenged, tested and moulded into Paratroopers. They will form up as 813 Breville Platoon. They will be mentored by some of the best Infantry Instructors anywhere in the world.
