Why do the pterosaur spines look like a 2 year old trying to draw a straight line😭.
Any of y'all have any thoughts of the designs from 2014's Journey to Dinosaur island?. I kinda love a lot of these, I love how colorful and vibrant they are, plus to my knowledge this is the first ever fully feathered Tyrannosaurus design in a film

Maybe showy spikes were more of a deterrent against predators than overall strength and thickness, which was an adaptation for interspecies combat. I could very well be wrong, but it would explain a lot.

With the study from last year on Borealopelta, I can only imagine what kind of tussles these guys were getting into with each other. Though the more I think about it, I wonder if there's a correlation between ankylosaur size and 'spikiness.' (ctd.).
Introducing a crazy new look for Spicomellus, based on newly described osteoderms unlike anything we've ever seen before. I was brought in to produce a life reconstruction based on the new material, published today by Maidment et al. in Nature:.

Still baffles me that people are saying Rebirth was the most "Jurassic" of recent films.
For the same amount of effort, they could have thrown a dart at a random prehistoric amphibian and put it in the movie. Instead they put some nonexistent creature lol. First the locust, now this. What are they doing to these movies man

Saw @_PrimitiveWar last night and had a BLAST!. You can tell there was heart and soul poured into this. Dinosaur horror, important commentary on war, and INSANE cinematography - Primitive War has it all. There were even some tear-jerkers in there, too!. Solid 7.5/10 for me.
